Our Story
Lucille & Grace was born from legacy, resilience, and the joy of baking.
In 1986, my grandmother, Lucille, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and told she would never walk again. At the time, little was known about this debilitating disease. But that following spring, I came home from school to find her not only walking—but standing in the kitchen, frying her famous chicken and baking her signature tea cakes. That moment changed everything. Our kitchen became more than a room—it was our sanctuary, our storybook, and my first laboratory.
Decades later, in 2015, Lucille & Grace began as a custom cake and dessert business—a heartfelt tribute to those early memories. For years, I juggled baking with my full-time career, nurturing the business part-time until 2021, when life took us to Texas. With an infant in my arms and a fresh start ahead, I knew our approach needed to evolve.
That’s when everything changed.
After officially registering Lucille & Grace in Texas, we rebranded and shifted our focus to portable, convenient desserts that could bring joy anytime, anywhere. We started with cupcakes, and then—somewhat reluctantly—experimented with cake jars. One bite was all it took to know we were onto something special.
And now, life has brought us full circle. Today, Lucille & Grace is proudly rooted in Georgia—a homecoming that feels both new and familiar. From our Southern kitchen, we create gourmet cake jars and artisan cookies, available in sizes from fingertip-small to palm-sized delights. Every treat we make is a love letter to the kitchen that started it all—and a celebration of the strength, sweetness, and legacy of Lucille.
